Light Duty Steel Grating

Light duty welded steel gratings are manufactured from low carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum steel. Light duty welded grating is joined at the intersection of the bearing bars and cross bars. Light duty bar grating ranges in size from 3/4" × 3/16" to 2 1/2" × 3/16".

Light duty carbon steel grating is ideal choice for the workhorse of the industrial flooring market. Light duty steel grating can be found application in walkways, conveyor system, operating plants, highways and bridge platforms and walkways, machinery floors, refineries, tank stairways and power plants.

Light duty stainless steel grating is also available for specific applications. The open grid construction of steel grating provides maximum passage for light, air circulation and drainage. It is often used as celling in factory or industrial workshops.

Light duty steel grating finish can be galvanized or manufacturer's standard black paint at the discretion of the architect. It can also be painted by request.

Light duty steel grating manufacturing tolerances

• Cross bar alignment and spacing
  Cross bar shall not vary more than 1/8" in 12" either direction from perpendicular alignment with bearing bars.
• Overall dimensions and squareness
  Width is overall lengths of cross bars at opposite ends of panels.
